Zelinka (Janine Gray) appears as a KAOS agent in the 1965 pilot episode "Mr. Big" in the TV series "Get Smart".
Zelinka begins in the show as the Assistant to Professor Hugo Dante (Vito Scotti), who has invented a machine called the Inthermo. Mr. Big (Michael Dunn) kidnaps Professor Dante and threatens to use it on the Statue of Liberty as part of an extortion attempt.
When Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) and Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) show up at Professor Dante's Laboratory, they are shown around the crime scene by Zelinka.
It is later revealed that Zelinka is a KAOS agent in league with Mr. Big. Mr. Big's henchmen lock up Max and Agent 99. After getting out of their chains they once again pursue their prey.
When Smart and Agent 99 board an old garbage scow, they are confronted with Mr. Big and his henchmen, including Zelinka. Zelinka and Agent 99 start a catfight aboard the small boat, and just as Zelinka is gaining control, she is knocked off the boat into the water. Smart is able to free the professor, and Dante reverses the atomic polarity of the inthermo. Then when Mr. Big tries to fire it at the Statue of Libery, the ship is destroyed. It is presumed that the explosion kills Mr. Big, Zelinka and the Henchmen.
Zelinka was named after Sydney Zelinka, the co-writer of the Season Two episode "The Decoy".
