Yuki Kobayashi is the main antagonist of the 2017 television drama series Million Yen Women. Her real name is Megumi Yano, although she uses the fake name of Yuki Kobayashi for almost all of the show.
Yuki is a manipulative stalker who became obsessed with an author named Shin, who she noticed distinctly avoided death in all of his writings. She found the idea of someone distancing themselves with the concept of death so much so hilarious that she decided to stalk and study him, learning that his father was a murderer, before deciding that she would try and make this man, who hated anything to do with death, kill a person. She would invite 5 women, herself being 1 of the 5, into his house, and proceeded to secretly kill one each time he grew too close to one, and even burned down his house in the process. Eventually, Shin managed to make her reveal herself by making an announcement on live TV, which caused her to want to reveal herself as the mastermind behind his suffering to him in person. She went to his new apartment, confessed all her crimes and who she killed, before handing him a knife and telling him to kill her, or else she will kill the 2 remaining girls that she had not yet killed. Shin, who could not bring himself to be anything like his murderous father, could not do it, and so Yuki left, teasing him. However, she would not be laughing for long, as when she went to the house of the youngest of the girls, a schoolgirl named Midori Suzumura, to kill her, she learned that that Midori had also figured out that Yuki was the killer, and so she had her bodyguard choke Yuki to death slowly. Midori taunted Yuki's failure all the way to her death, as Yuki cried and begged to be spared, only for no mercy to be shown, as Midori's bodyguard finished the job. Her body is then put into a suitcase, and is taken away by Midori's friend; her second bodyguard. Yuki's body is never found, as Midori boldly declares that "100,000 people disappear in Japan a year", and now Yuki is one of them. It is unknown what is done with Yuki's body, only that the bodyguards made sure that it is never found by anyone.
