Weltrand, Helga, Susanna and Bette (Attualita' Nera)

Weltrand, Helga, Susanna and Bette are the four villainous protagonists of "Le Infermiere Assassine" (The Killer Nurses), the first story in the 1989 Italian erotic crime comic "Attualita' Nera n.23".

The four women are nurses who work in a hospital located in Vienna, Austria, where they secretly murder elderly patients at night. Weltrand Berger is the leader of the villainous quartet, with Susanna being the young newcomer. Between the four of them, they end up killing over 50 innocent people.

The story begins with the four nurses sitting around laughing about the horrifying crimes they commit and trying to decide who should be murdered next. Susanna suggests a patient in room 21, as she overheard his family talk about how they're in a hurry for him to die. Weltrand and Helga counter this, however, stating that their murders aren't for charity, but for their own personal convenience and fun.

After Weltrand and Helga make love one evening, the former woman mentions that one of the doctors have become suspicious of their activities. Labeling it as a favor to her, she requests that Helga seduce and sexually satisfy him so that they would have something to blackmail him with should his lips ever become loose. Though she has no interest in men, Helga agrees to this so that they can continue to kill in safety.

Meanwhile, Susanna finds herself increasingly hot for Helga and manages to seduce her herself one night. Unfortunately, they forget to lock the door before engaging in some impromptu sex, which allows an elderly man searching for a nurse to discover them. Left with no other option, the two nurses murder him and return the corpse to his bed back in his room. With that taken care of, Helga states that she still has an orgasm that remains unfinished and the two continue the intercourse without remorse.

The next day, an angry Weltrand confronts Helga and Susanna over the death, stating that if they kill too many people in one week their cover will be blown. When Susanna spills the beans that they were forced to after being caught having sex, Weltrand tears into her further for laying hands on her main squeeze. Determined to get back at Weltrand, a frustrated Susanna tells the hospital head that Weltrand has been killing patients with sadistic enjoyment. Despite only outing the leader, however, this act leads to all four women being arrested for their crimes.
