Veronica and Patty Peirson (Red Skies)

Red Skies (TV movie, 2002)

Veronica and Patty Pierson (Caroline Lagerfelt and Pauley Perrette) are a deadly mom/daughter crime duo. They run a drug packaging/smuggling/child slave operation in California, using kidnapped Asian children. They have also brought their Chinese triad boss to the US to expand his territory.

On the trail of the triad, a Chinese agent (Vivian Wu) joins forces with the F.B.I. to destroy the operation.

At the climax, with the F.B.I. closing in, mom Veronica attempts to set fire to their office while Patty fights with the heroine Wu in a kung-fu battle high on the rafters of the building. They both fall through the office ceiling, apparently killing Patty. Veronica is killed with two well-placed shots by an F.B.I. man. Wu and another cop barely escape the explosion which destroys the office and the mom/daughter villainesses.

The TV movie was for a series that didn't sell. The movie has been released around the world in various languages. I have heard that some versions hint that the evil mom/daughter duo are also lesbian lovers.
