Vashti (Elaine Dunn) is a secondary villainess in the 1969 episode "The Night of the Infernal Machine" for the TV series "The Wild Wild West".
Vashti is a showgirl performer in a Danver hotel lounge, who has aspirations of being a big stage performer. She is made an accomplice in an assasination attempt by Judge M'Guigan (Ed Begley) of some federal judges. M'Guigan has aspirations of becoming a Supreme Court Justice, and tells Vashti that he will see to it that she perroms for the President.
M'Guigan plans a benefit in the honor of several Denver judges who are in line for the Supreme Court. At the benefit, Vashti is tasked with performing a dance number. At his cue, she is to swing down from a balcony and light the fuse attached to a giant Statue of Liberty replica. That fuse will blow up the party and all of the judges in attendance.
After lighting the fuse, she attempts to make her getaway. However, James T. West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordan apprehend her. They are led back into the party and James West defuses the bomb. Vashti momentarily breaks free as well as M'Guigan and he attempts to shoot the judges with a pistol. West knocks M'Guigan and Vashti into the giant cake.
Vashti is led away, but not before she picks up a piece of cake and smashes it into the face of the German pastry chef who is infatuated with her.
