Vanessa Carlton is a pop singer who appears as the main villainess in her 2002 music video, Pretty Baby.
The video has Vanessa singing about her lover, which includes visions of the pair making out inside his car, as well as the two of them playing piano together. However, Vanessa is shown at a party giving a somewhat intense stare at her lover while he was speaking to another girl, serving as a possible hint to Vanessa's true psychotic demeanor.
Later on, another flashback is shown of Vanessa giving her unnamed lover a guitar as a gift, which was met with a happy embrace. However, in the video's present time, Vanessa tosses the guitar out of the window, and the video ends with Vanessa's evil persona revealed, as she walks up to the bedroom and gives a sinister smirk at her boyfriend, who is revealed to be tied to a chair with duct tape around his mouth. The villainess' actions were apparently motivated by her jealousy over him speaking to another woman, and the video ends without revealing Vanessa's fate.
