Vanessa Borne is a professional wrestler competing in WWE, performing as a villainess on the NXT program.
Vanessa was signed by WWE in 2016, and began performing at house shows as a heel under her real name, Danielle Kamela. Her first NXT TV appearance came on October 12 as a jobber against Nikki Cross, originally losing the match, but announced as the winner due to Nikki's continuous attack towards her. On the July 12, 2017 edition of NXT, Vanessa defeated Jayme Hachey to qualify for the Mae Young Classic tournament. Vanessa turned heel at the tournament on August 28; adopting an arrogant persona en route to losing in the first round to Serena Deeb.
Vanessa's first villainous appearance on NXT TV came on September 27, a losing effort to Liv Morgan. Four weeks later, the evil Vanessa participated in a battle royal for an NXT Women's Championship opportunity at NXT Takeover: War Games, only to end up as one of eight women eliminated by eventual winner Nikki Cross. On April 4, 2018, Vanessa was defeated by Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane.
