Jai (Carole Davis) was a mean girl in the film Piranha II: The Spawning (1981).

Story

Jai is a spoiled rich girl who absconds with her father’s yacht for a multi-day joy ride. Running low on money, Jai and her friend Loretta think it would be fun to act like ‘sea bandits’, stealing rations to continue their frivolous journey. They dock at a small beach resort town and Jai raids a local restaurant kitchen. The kitchen cook Mal comes upon her and says he should probably call the manger. Mal is mentally slow and Jai takes advantage to get out of the jam. She lies saying that her money was stolen, then heavily flirts saying he should come to their boat later with more food, asking “if he has ever done with two women”.

Back on their boat, Jai and Lorretta wait for Mal to arrive. Jai comments “Wait to you see how weird this guy is. You’ll laugh yourself sick”. The helpful and enthusiastic Mal wants to come aboard, but Jai tells him to first to hand her the box of food and untie the boat. The boat drifts away from the dock and Jai, now snickering, tells Mal to jump for it. Clueless he is being ridiculed, Mal attempts the jump, landing in the water. Jai and Loretta uproarious laugh at Mal, saying “so long asshole” as they sail away.

Later that night at sea Jai and Lorretta are preparing dinner. There are thump sounds heard, so Jai goes up to the deck to investigate just as a flying piranha bites Lorretta, making her fall screaming into the water. Jai panicking tries to save her friend, extending a pole into the water. Another piranha latches onto Jai’s neck, killing her on the deck of the boat.
