Madame Delahaye (Audrey Fleurot) is the main antagonist of the French comedy movie, "Two Much for the Job" (2022). She plays a falsely honeyed teacher who actually hides real wickedness and a bitchy temper. Her performance, totally outraged and caricatural, is rather jubilant.
History[]
After five years enduring horrible work conditions, Sophia (movie's heroine) finally gets chosen for a long-awaited transfer from her thankless teaching job at a rough middle school. Ecstatic to start a new life teaching at the French Lycée in Barcelona, her hopes are dashed to bits when Madame Delahaye, a well- connected, over-qualified teacher at an upscale Paris school cuts in to take the position. Determined to stand her ground, Sophia and her clever neighbour Mr. Picard join forces to sabotage her competitor's candidacy. With hypocrisy and condescension Madame Delahaye will very quickly make her rival understand that she has no chance of winning this battle. Making fun of her physique and Sophia's social condition, we quickly understand that behind the image of the perfect teacher hides a woman as vain as she is bitchy. The two women will engage in a merciless fight, where the insults and low blows to humiliate the other will increase to reach a point of no return. From hurtful words, deceitful acts and even physical combat, the pretentious Madame Delahaye will be humiliated as she deserves.
