The Female Villains Wiki
Sloan Daniels

Teenage con artist Sloan Daniels

Sloan Daniels (Lola Tash) is a recurring character and hidden (redeemed and remorseful) villainess from Republic of Doyle. She was a juvenile delinquent who first appeared in Season 5, encountering the Doyles and being rescued by them when she became involved in a murder case. Sloan was ultimately taken under the Doyle family's wing, with episode 5.08, "Young Guns" having Sloan have a DNA test run on Jake's razor, leading to a shocking revelation: he was Sloan's father.

But as revealed over the course of the season, Sloan was still up to her criminal ways, colluding with her boyfriend Luke Jacobs to sell knock-off fashion accessories after borrowing money from notorious crime boss Vick Saul. When the police raided the warehouse where their illegal merchandise was held and took them, however, Sloan and Luke resorted to robbing the Doyles (and later Saul) to raise enough money to get out of town. As Sloan and Luke were committing the burgulary, however, Sloan expressed deep remorse for what she was doing, feeling terrible about betraying the Doyles after everything they had done for her.

Season 6 had Sloan coming back into the Doyles' lives after they discovered she had stolen from them, with the entire family (barring Jake) shunning Sloan for her treachery. She also found herself in debt to Saul after he discovered she'd stolen from him, with Saul having her abducted, tied up and gagged in his office, and threatening to harm her and Luke if she didn't pay him back. Jake ultimately took on Sloan's debt to protect her, and later on, Sloan decided to redeem herself by confessing to robbing the Doyles, knowing they wouldn't be able to get the money back through insurance unless charges were filed against her.

But as Sloan prepared to do that, her estranged older sister Pam re-appeared in her life and revealed another secret to Rose: Sloan wasn't Jake's daughter, as she had faked a DNA test to convince him he was as a con. After being confronted by Jake, Sloan confessed to having initially been planning to con the Doyles, but grew to appreciate the compassion they gave to her and went back on her plans, apologizing to Jake for hurting him and his family. As a means of fully redeeming herself to Jake, Sloan agreed not to come forward about robbing the Doyles and going to live with her aunt in Gander, promising Jake that she would turn her life around and abandon her criminal ways permanently.
