The villainous Skylar St. Jean
Skylar St. Jean (Brooke Burns) was a minor (redeemed) villainess from the 2012 film A Star for Christmas. She was a famous actress and the ex-girlfriend of fellow actor Alex Gray, having broken up with him prior to the movie's events.
Skylar reappeared in Alex's life while he was filming a Christmas action movie, replacing the film's female lead when she left, and surprised Alex by waiting for him in his hotel room. Knowing that Alex had begun a relationship with baker Cassie Drake (who had been hired to do catering for the movie), Skylar began scheming to have Alex back for herself.
Along with having paparazzi follow her, Alex, and Cassie, Skylar also got closer to Cassie by helping her with the overflow of customers her bakery was receiving and taking her and her friend Tricia out for a shopping trip. During that time, Skylar began talking of how Alex's penchant for lying resulted in her turning down his marriage proposal, doing so to plant seeds of doubt in Cassie. She also falsely told tabloid reporters that she and Alex were back together, turning Cassie against Alex, and encouraged Cassie's ex-boyfriend Jared that he deserved to be with Cassie.
Later on, with his relationship with Cassie falling apart, Skylar returned to her and Alex's hotel room to find him drunk, much to her shock. As she consoled Alex, though, she kissed him and attempted to get Alex to take her back, even stating that she wouldn't mind if Alex was still in love with Cassie. At that moment, Cassie arrived at the door and Skylar answered, allowing Cassie to believe she and Alex were being intimate.
In the film's climax, as Cassie's brother Zack was confessing to Skylar his long-standing crush on her, Cassie barged into the trailer and angrily lambasted Skylar for her selfish actions. At that, however, Skylar finally revealed that nothing had happened between her and Alex and that Alex wanted Cassie, not her. She then aided Cassie, Tricia, and Zack in their search for Alex, eventually learning from the paparazzi she had on staff that he was filming at the dock. After happily watching Cassie and Alex reconcile, Skylar accepted Zack's offer for her to spend Christmas with him and (as shown in the epilogue) later became his girlfriend and friends with Cassie, Tricia, and Alex.
