Hannah Slate (Lois Dellar) was a villainess from the 2013 Lifetime film The Perfect Boss. She was the mother of Jessica Slate, the film's primary villainess and the recently elected vice president of pharmaceutical company Mickleson Pharmaceuticals. Hannah's backstory revealed that she had an abusive boyfriend named Albert who eventually put her in the hospital, driving the young Jessica to smother him to death with a pillow.
In the present events, Hannah was using Jessica's previous actions to get money from her, with Jessica sendig her mother money on a monthly basis to keep her satisfied. After she was employed by Mickelson, however, Hannah reappeared in Jessica's life by coming to her hotel room while Jessica was at work, surprising Jessica when she came back to find her in the bathtub and chastising her for not calling her on Mother's Day.
Jessica later went out with Hannah to a bar, where Hannah demanded her share of the ten million Jessica had in stocks, with Jessica explaining she wouldn't have that money until Mickelson's newest insulin medication Ezaprine was approved. Hannah then tried to convince Jessica to buy her a new car, mentioning how she was mocked because of her daughter's success, only for Jessica to refuse and order Hannah to go home. But later on, Jessica conceded to Hannah's demand when she revealed she would continue asking for a car, with Hannah claiming she wouldn't ask for anything else from her.
But later in the film, Hannah called Jessica and told her she wanted her to buy her a new house, obviously reneging her earlier promise to her daughter. When Jessica refused, the evil Hannah brought up how Jessica had killed Albert as a child, claiming that Albert was like a father to her and that she owed her success to her for not telling the police what she'd done. Jessica blasted her mother for defending Albert and proclaimed that she hated her, later sneaking into Hannah's house late one night as she was taking a bath and drowning her to keep her quiet.
