Villainous robber Felicity Shepherd
Felicity Shepherd (Kelly Kruger) is a hidden villainess from "If the Shoe Fits", episode 5.14 of Republic of Doyle (airdate January 29, 2014). Little was known about her backstory, other than how she had a lengthy criminal history, with her crimes including robberies and heists. Felicity was previously caught by Toronto detective Bill Murdoch, later taking a deal to avoid prison time. Murdoch later attempted to help Felicity leave her criminal life behind, only for him to lose his job under suspicion of working with her.
But prior to the episode, Felicity committed another robbery, partnering up with medical examiner Simon Eagleson to steal two million dollars from a bank. But when Simon learned that Felicity had fled to Newfoundland with all the money, Simon abducted Felicity's cousin Robin and threatened to kill her if Felicity didn't give her the watch containing the GPS receiver that would reveal where the money was at.
After being tracked down by the Doyles and Murdoch, Felicity revealed how Simon had kidnapped Robin and began working with them to find her, eventually learning in the process how Simon was Felicity's accomplice in the bank robbery, and that he had killed storage unit owner Chad King after learning that he had stolen the watch from Felicity's unit. The episode's climax had the Doyles and Murdoch confronting Felicity as she held Simon at knifepoint on a cliff, proclaiming that he would never stop coming after her if she didn't kill him. Murdoch was able to disarm Felicity by shooting her (non-fatally) in the shoulder, with Simon being saved from falling from the cliffside. As the police arrived, Felicity expressed shock that Murdoch had shot her and Murdoch chastised Felicity for destroying the chance she had to move from a life of crime. In response, Felicity reminded Murdoch that she hadn't asked him to sacrifice his career for her and admitting that she was never the woman he'd thought she was (in reference to how Murdoch had fallen in love with her). Felicity was then placed under arrest, sincerely apologizing to Murdoch for hurting him before she was taken away.
