Villainous judge Evelyn Rowe
Evelyn Rowe (Domini Blythe) is a villainess (redeemed) from the 2010 Lifetime film Ties That Bind. She was a judge and the friend of lawyer Meredith Cole, and was the mother of college student Tessa Rowe.
The film's events also revealed Evelyn as a corrupt villainess, accepting bribes from Meredith in exchange for helping her clients get off. Meredith's assistant Rachel Thomas inadvertedly uncovered Meredith's corrupt deeds, and was driven by her immense debt to steal her latest bribe to Evelyn: a rare book belonging to Bobby Calderon, the son of Meredith's latest client Santos Calderon, a notorious crime lord who was on trial.
As a result of not receiving the bribe, Santos was sentenced to life in prison, angering Bobby. Meredith confronted Evelyn in a parking garage to convince her to make arrangements to release Santos, only for Evelyn to refuse and reveal that she was done taking bribes from her. Later on, though, after Meredith was murdered by one of Bobby's henchmen on his order, Bobby confronted Evelyn in her office, subtly threatening to hurt her daughter and expose her corruption if she didn't do something to release his father from prison.
Realizing she and her daughter were in danger, Evelyn called Tessa and warned her to leave campus and stay at a hotel room until she called her later. The redeemed Evelyn then called the police and told them that Bobby had had Meredith killed, while also confessing to taking bribes from her. Bobby was ultimately apprehended by the police, and Evelyn was presumably arrested as well for her corrupt actions.
