Evil bully Darcie Chapman

Darcie Chapman (Josephine Langford) is a minor villainess from the 2017 horror film Wish Upon. She was a popular high school student and a persistent bully of main protagonist Claire Shannon.

Darcie's behavior seemed to be mostly linked to the fact that Claire's father Jonathan was a garbageman who often scavenged for things in dumpsters (including one outside their school). Her first scene showed Darcie nearly running over Claire while she was outside her Uncle August's house, with two of her equally villainous friends with her. Later at school, the evil Darcie callously spilled her coffee on a poster Claire had spent a great amount of time on for the school's upcoming Scavenger Hunt.

Later on, Claire got back at Darcie by publicly insulting her when she called Claire and her friends out for laughing as they walked by. A furious Darcie slapped Claire, leading to a large fight between the two girls. Later on, Darcie posted derogatory photos of Claire's father online as well as a video of their fight (which garnered many comments defending Darcie and insulting Claire). To get revenge, Claire used her newly possessed wish-granting music box and made her first wish: for Darcie to "go rot". The next morning, after a sleepover with her friends, Darcie woke up to find her foot completely rotted and her face partially so. It was later diagnosed as a bacterial infection that Darcie contracted from a spa, which might required her to receive amputations.

Darcie was hospitalized for a majority of the film, but returned to school after Claire's friend June stole the music box to stop her from making more wishes--still very much the cruel bully she was before. She later also (accidentally) brought about the death of Claire, who had made her last wish and was thus open for the murderous spirit of the music box to claim her life as it had her mother, killing her by striking her with her car. It is left unknown if Darcie ever received punishment for bullying Claire or for causing her death.
