Randi Wallace (Kate Hodge) is the main protagonist of the short-lived series, She-Wolf of London (alternately titled, Love and Curses). However, Randi served as the main villainess in the pilot episode (airdate October 9, 1990).
Introduction[]
Randi Wallace is an American post-graduate student who traveled to London and enrolled at a university where her idol, Ian Matheson, taught a class in mythology. She took an instant liking to Ian, but found it difficult to acquire boarding at the school. Ian invited her to stay with his family who owned a bed and breakfast nearby. In order to get into the spirit of her research, Randi took her computer and went camping out on the moors later at night during a full moon. Later on, a werewolf appeared and attacked Randi's tent, slashing its way inside and mauling her.
Heel Turn[]
The next night, a full moon appeared while Randi was working late at the university, and it was there that she began her first transformation into a werewolf, doing so near the animal cages. Randi turned heel following her transformation and went after Ian, who was searching for her and had seen the wrecked cages. Upon encountering the villainous she-wolf, Ian ran and barricaded himself inside the library, as well as to apparent safety. However, the evil Randi crashed her way into the library, displaying her heel persona with an animalistic snarl before continuing her pursuit. Ian managed to barely escape with his life, despite the villainess clawing her way through several locked doors.
Redemption[]
Randi was encountered by Ian the next day, and she was informed by Ian that she is a werewolf. Randi dedicated herself to searching for a cure, and with Ian's help, she finds the werewolf who attacked her: a man named Pitak. They chase after him in their car, but it ends with Pitak's vehicle veering off a cliff, killing him. Randi spent the remainder of the series as the main protagonist, and she and Ian continued their search for a cure for her curse, while fighting many foes. As for her transformations from that point on, her werewolf persona often plagued Randi and Ian's villainous foes. Randi and Ian later developed a romantic relationship, but the series was canceled without Randi receiving a cure.
Trivia[]
