Villainous librarian Miss Hardaway
Miss Hardaway (Beverly Archer) is the villainess from "Bud Hits the Books," episode 10.23 of Married...With Children (airdate April 28, 1996). She originally appeared in episode 9.07, "Dial 'B' for Virgin," as the founder of the Virgin Hotline, and it was there that she first encountered Bud Bundy, as she hired him to participate as the hotline's counselor for school credit.
As shown in her first appearance, Miss Hardaway harbored an immense crush on Bud, and it was in her Season Ten appearance that she resorted to villainous methods to fulfill her sexual desire. In "Bud Hits the Books," Bud rushed to the college library to study, as it was the one place where he could focus and not think about sex. Miss Hardaway (the campus librarian) sent Bud to a small and private room to study, but unbeknownst to Bud, the room had a surveillance camera inside which allowed the devious librarian to watch him. She also gave Bud a collection of books for his studies, but she had highlighted the most sexually erotic parts, while also slipping in her home phone number. Miss Hardaway's entrapment plan works, as the sexually frustrated Bud ended up masturbating inside the room.
After catching Bud, the evil Miss Hardaway filed charges against him; acting appalled to mask her true nature. Facing expulsion, Bud (with Marcy acting as his legal counsel) stated that he was the victim of entrapment by Miss Hardaway, with her crush on him as a reason. The scheming villainess denied Bud's claims and even made a bad attempt to deny her feelings for Bud, but after Bud flaunts his posterior at her, Miss Hardaway finally admitted everything, even revealing that she turns up the heat hoping that Bud would undress. The charges against Bud are dropped, but Miss Hardaway's fate was not revealed.
