Meredith Delaney (Barbara Babcock) was a villainess from Murder, She Wrote's eighth season finale, "Murder on Madison Avenue." (airdate May 17, 1992). She was the Executive Vice President of Marathon Toys, and was married to Devery McFarlane, who served as the company's project supervisor.
As the episode progressed, Meredith was revealed as a ruthless and ambitious villainess, as she planned to have Edgar Greenstreet ousted as CEO. She was also revealed to be having an affair with Boris Steloff, an Advertising Agency operator, and late one night, the evil Meredith enlisted Boris to hire Amanda North (who is part of the competing Preston Agency) to work for him. Meredith's evil plan also involved using Amanda's fracturing relationship with Brian Singer to their advantage, with the overall result allowing Meredith to have enough power and leverage to oust Edgar as CEO.
On the following evening, Meredith attended a company celebration, where she was lured to Edgar's B100 during a phone conversation. After arriving, Meredith was killed by secretary Sylvia Moffett, who bludgeoned her with a crowbar.
