Villainous CEO Melissa Schultz
Melissa Schultz (Stephanie Lemelin) is the main villainess from "Dot Zom," episode 5.04 of iZombie (airdate May 23, 2019). She is the CEO of PearcyCorp, receiving the position following the murder of founder and previous CEO Cornell Pearcy, who was also Melissa's ex-boyfriend.
Melissa revealed herself as a zombie during her encounter with Liv Moore and Clive Babineaux, and during the investigation, it was revealed that Pearcy was working on a bunker plan to save humanity, with Peyton Charles being on the list. However, Peyton's listing was revealed as a replacement for Pearcy's assistant, Nora Shaw, and after Liv saw a vision of Pearcy erasing Nora's name and entering Peyton's, Nora became a suspect, and she revealed that she and Pearcy were lovers.
Though Nora voiced her bitterness over being replaced by Peyton, she was cleared as Pearcy's killer, mainly due to Sheldon Drake becoming the new main suspect after Liv sees a vision of Drake confronting Pearcy over not getting what he paid for. Melissa claimed not to know Drake, but after Drake's arrest for murder, Liv had a vision of Melissa angrily confronting Drake and accusing him of mass murder. That and Drake's anti-zombie comments during his confrontation led to a number of reveals, with the main one being that Melissa was Pearcy's true killer.
It was revealed that Drake paid Pearcy to develop a system that would identify every zombie in Seattle, which was part of Drake's plan to eliminate all zombies. This led to Pearcy planning the bunker, and after Melissa found out about her ex-boyfriend plan, she killed him by poisoning him with mushrooms. In addition, the evil Melissa planted the mushrooms in Drake's home, leading to his arrest, and she confessed everything to Liv and Clive in her interrogation. The villainess stated that while Pearcy was trying to save humanity, she was saving zombie-kind, and that she wouldn't lose sleep over Drake being put away. After her confession, Melissa was arrested (off-screen).
