Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum) is a recurring (redeemed) villainess from Season One of Supergirl. She is Lois Lane's younger sister, and a military major in the U.S. Army's JAG Corps.
Introduction[]
Lucy first appeared in the episode, "Fight of Flight," where she was introduced as James "Jimmy" Olsen's former girlfriend. As Jimmy himself revealed, Lucy ended things due to her belief that she put his devotion to Superman over her.
Lucy and Jimmy were back together in the episode, "How Does She Do It?," and later on in "Childish Things," Lucy was hired by Cat Grant to serve as CatCo's general counsel. However, James' growing feelings for Kara deteriorated things between him and Lucy, who again felt sidelined due to Jimmy's work with Supergirl. The relationship ended again in the episode, "Solitude," as Lucy deduced that Jimmy had feelings for Kara due to him telling Kara about his father--something he never even told Lucy.
Heel Turn; Redemption[]
Lucy resigned from CatCo and returned to the JAG Corps in the episode, "Manhunter," where she served as a villainous adversary. She served as the legal counsel for Colonel Jim Harper, and both of them interrogated J'onn Jonzz regarding the disappearances of Jeremiah Danvers and Hank Henshaw (the latter whose form J'onn assumed). Lucy even had Alex Danvers arrested, along with J'onn, and after Kara finally revealed herself to her as Supergirl, she berated Kara and accused her and J'onn of being deceptive. After Kara explains herself, she manages to convince Lucy to help rescue Alex and J'onn. To Lucy's surprise, she was named as the D.E.O.'s deputy director by Harper, who resigned after his memory was wiped clean by J'onn.
Lucy turned heel in the season's penultimate episode, "Myriad," when she fell under the control of Non's titular Myriad program. Under her heel persona, the evil Lucy released all of the prisoners (except the White Martian), including Maxima, who she convinced to serve under Non. After Supergirl defeated Maxima, Lucy shot Supergirl with a Kryptonite bullet to slow her down, and she continued firing shots at the heroine. Lucy was knocked out by Supergirl with the afterburners from her ship, and in the season finale, "Better Angels," Lucy was freed from Myriad's control by Kara. Now redeemed and back to normal, Lucy had J'onn freed from custody.
