Lana Lang (Emily Procter) is a villainess from episode 3.14 of Lois & Clark, "Tempus, Anyone?" (airdate January 21, 1996). Just like in the comics, Lana Lang is portrayed as the girlfriend of young Clark Kent, and the episode has Lana referred to as Clark's former girlfriend, though she is Clark's fiancee in an alternate universe.
In Tempus' alternate universe, Lana and her family took Clark in after his parents died, and they began dating and became engaged, while also knowing about Clark's powers. Lois Lane is transported to the alternate universe by Tempus, where she learns that she is deceased in the universe and meets Lana, while expressing shock over the fact that she and Clark are engaged. In contrast to the comics and other portrayals, Lana displays an arrogant heel persona, and she was shown berating Clark for using his powers in public to save someone. Lana's belief was that one man can't save everyone, and she feared that Clark would be locked up by the government if he was found out.
Lana also appeared to be jealous of Lois' appearance, especially when Clark was concerned. She displayed her anger when she caught Lois and Clark together, as Lois was making Clark's trademark Superman outfit for him. At that moment, the evil Lana gave Clark a choice: either her or Superman. Clark refused to give up saving people, which led to Lana breaking up with Clark.
Lana never appeared in the real universe in the episode, but Clark stated to Lois that he and Lana broke up on good terms, and they're still friends.
