Josephine Bellacroix was a villainess from "Krewe," episode 3.21 of NCIS: New Orleans (airdate April 18, 2017). She was a First Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, and a close friend of Nadine Bancroft and Dr. Emma Miller.
Bellacroix was part of a tour in Somalia and Sudan years prior, with Nadine and Emma visiting her at the latter country. While volunteering to build a girls' school in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, they witnessed an attack on the villagers by the Boko Haram terrorist group, and bore witness to the group's murderous and horrendous actions. Seeing the villagers defenseless led to Bellacroix agreeing to collude Nadine and Emma to steal guns to send back to Sudan for the villagers to use for defense.
The trio took the guns from Nadine's father's weapons company, and they were all shown (disguised) in the beginning of episode stealing the guns from a train. They were confronted by local police, leading to a shootout between both sides, with the women firing rubber bullets at the officers, as their intent was not to harm anyone. During the shootout, Bellacroix was shot by one of the police officers, but her wound was tended to by Emma.
Sebastian Lund found Bellacroix's profile during NCIS' investigation, leading to Chris LaSalle and Sonja Percy heading to Bellacroix's home to question her. She was found killed by multiple gunshots, and her villainous role was posthumously revealed, while it was also revealed that she was killed by a Boko Haram member.
