The villainous Jillian Thompson
Jillian Thompson (Colleen Flynn) is the hidden main villainess from "You Are Here," episode 1.07 of The Closer (airdate July 25, 2005). She is the ex-wife of prominent judge Michael Thompson, and the mother of their autistic son, Keith.
Jillian was in a heated custody battle with Michael, who was abusive to not only Keith, but Jillian as well. Michael ended up with custody of Keith after buying off several divorce lawyers, leaving Jillian angry and vengeful. After Jason Murphy, the brother of a man Michael had convicted, called the Thompson home threatening him, Jillian decided to collude with Jason in a plot to kill her ex-husband. She paid Murphy to follow Michael to a poker game he was attending, and it was there that he waited in ambush (while smoking three cigarettes) and later shot Michael to death. However, Keith was with Michael at the game, so Murphy placed him in the trunk of his car.
Jillian was demanded more money from Murphy after the murder, and she dialed her ex-husband's phone (knowing police would answer at the scene) so she could have an excuse to pay him the money; $75,000, to be exact. Her role was revealed during Brenda's interrogation of Murphy, as he wrote down Jillian's name when asked who paied him to kill Michael. During Jillian's interrogation, Brenda gave her a choice of group homes for Keith: either an overcrowded and dangerous one, or a center for kids with special needs--threatening to send him to the former if Jillian lied. Jillian later confessed, stating that Michael had abused Keith and tried to force him to be normal. She stated that Michael took her life away when he took Keith, and claimed that having him killed made them even. Jillian was arrested in her role in her ex-husband's murder.
