Amy Nash

Redeemed criminal Amy Nash (aka June Harris)

Amy Nash, aka June Harris (Susan Rohrer), was a redeemed villainess from "Soccer Mom in the Mini-Van," episode 3.02 of Bones (airdate October 2, 2007).

Amy was shown in the beginning of the episode driving to a park where her daughter, Celia Nash, was playing soccer. She took a solitary look at Celia before getting back in her vehicle, where she was killed by a bomb inside the van. The Jeffersonian group was on the case, and the investigation into Amy's death revealed that she was once a member of a radical group known as the National Liberation Army back in the 1970s.

It was also revealed that Amy's real name was June Harris, and in 1975, she and her then-boyfriend, fellow member Neil Watkins, broke into the home of a defense contractor with plans to rob his safe, doing so under the claim that the money inside "belonged to the people." During the robbery, June and Neil were confronted by Officer Valenti, which ended with Valenti shot to death. It was believed that June shot Valenti herself, but as it turned out, Neil was the one who shot and killed Valenti, and June got into the line of fire trying to protect the victim. Both of them ended up on the run for 30 years after the robbery and murder, with June changing her name to Amy and marrying Jeremy Nash, while becoming the mother of their daughter, Celia.

As Patricia Belcher revealed, June/Amy was planning on turning herself in, as her appearance in the beginning of the episode was part of the redeemed villainess saying goodbye to her family before surrendering. Though it was suspected that Neil created the bomb and killed his former co-hort, it was actually Jeremy who killed his wife, as he spotted Amy visiting Neil and believed that she was betraying him and Celia. In actuality, Amy's visit to Neil was to get him to turn himself in as well, only to be turned down by Amy.
