Anput is a villainess from Dynamite Entertainment's 2012 revival of The Spider.
Born in Egypt, Anput turned to prostituion to make money, but later killed her abusive pimp and saved the man (who later became her boyfriend) from his clutches. They later steal lethal gas from Westmore Industries to use it to zombify people. Anput gasses a room full of people, chains one child to the closet, and rigs the child with an explosive collar. When the Spider and his crew arrive and demand a way to reverse the virus, Anput simply explodes the zombified child.
Anput continues to plant bombs all over New York. When Joe Hilt sells her information about Richard Wentworth (the Spider's true identity), she infects a public party to lure the Spider, and when he arrives, she shoots him with tarantula venom. Unfortunately for her, the Spider has a partial tolerance to tarantula venom and shoots her in the shoulder.
Anput gasses Citi Field and then a rival company of Mr. Wentworth, before announcing that she will stop the attacks if hte police stop investigating and the Spider goes into hiding. The Spider keeps investigating anyway, whereupon Anput tries to gas him and then gasses the New York Times building, with Wentworth's love interest, Nita, among her many victims. Anput's gassing of people turns out to have been a distraction so she can destroy the economy and make millions off of the fallout. The Spider confronts Anput and her boyfriend and sends them tumbling to their deaths. Anput tries to gas Wall Street anyway, but that is disabled.
