Biography[]
A long time ago in medieval Germany, Hansel and Gretel were the children of a poor woodcutter who were later abandoned by their father thanks to their wicked stepmother. Despite Hansel and Gretel trying to return home by leaving a breadcrumb trail, the two still manage to get lost in the woods due to the birds eating the breadcrumbs.
As they were lost and hungry, the children stumbled across a gingerbread house standing in the middle of the woods after following a white bird. As Hansel and Gretel eat the house, suddenly the old woman came outside from the house and spotting the two children. Initially, she pretended to be a good old lady who promises them to give them great food, baths, and a warm place to sleep. However, the old woman was an evil witch who enjoyed eating children.
As she reveals her true intentions, she trapped Hansel in a stable outside the house while making Gretel her slave. In the meantime, the Witch attempts to fatten Hansel up so that she could eat him. However, due to Hansel sticking out a small bone instead of his finger and the due to the witch's blindness, she thought he didn’t gain any weight. After a while, she became impatient and decided to eat him regardless. Due to Gretel's intelligence, she manages to fool the witch and pushes her into her own oven, killing her. Hansel and Gretel then returned home with some of The Witch's gold and jewels.
