The Spirit is the main antagonist in the 1985 animated film "The Care Bears Movie"
The Spirit is an evil being who lives inside an ancient spell book. She corrupts a lonely young boy named Nicholos by promising to help him make friends by using magic. At a magic show she purposely causes the audience to laugh at him, she then tricks him into casting a spell that removes all caring. She then has him remove all caring.
