The Demon (Mausoleum)

The unnamed female demon (Bobbie Bresee) is the primary antagonist of the 1983 horror film "Mausoleum".

For centuries, the demon has merged herself with the first-born daughters of the Nomed family. In the film, she joins with the most recent, Susan Nomed; when she was a young girl. Still bound as an adult, Susan murders innocents and those; who cross her alike; sometimes after flirting or; making love to them and almost always in gruesome ways. Her aunt, Cora Nomed; who had raised her, as well as her husband, Oliver, are among the eventual victims.

Susan's psychologist, Dr. Simon Andrews is told; by a fellow doctor and friend that; the only way to have the demon expelled from her body is to place a crown of thorns; onto her head. With no other answer available to him, Simon travels to the mausoleum where Susan first became possessed, retrieves the crown and uses it on her. With the demon now gone, the final scene of the film shows Simon telling a groundskeeper to guard the entrance to the mausoleum, just as those; before him had.
