Sunday (Katharine Towne) was the main antagonist in the 1999 episode "The Freshman" for the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
Sunday was a vampire who had been a UC Sunnyvale student. She became the master of a vampire nest located within the campus. Sunday and her gang, Dav (Shannon Hillary), Tom (Mace Lombard), Jerry and Rookie (Mike Rad), stalked their prey on the UC Sunnydale campus. They started by abducting their freshman dinner and quickly moved to clean out the victim's dorm room and leaving behind a note that said "I can't handle the pressure", thus the missing students were simply listed as drop-outs.
Sunday crossed paths with Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), the Slayer, after kidnapping Eddie (Pedro Balmaceda). Sunday defeated Buffy on their first fight, spraining her right arm and dismissing her for being a freshman. Afterward she sent her gang to rob all of her belongings, which they did successfully, and planned to kill her afterwards.
However, the entire gang, except for Tom and Dav, were wiped out by the Scooby Gang. Sunday initially had the upper hand against Buffy, but she ultimately spelled her doom when she deliberately broke Buffy's Class Protector Award in an attempt to further demoralize Buffy. Instead, Buffy was outraged enough to regain her confidence and pummeled Sunday before staking her with a broken tennis racket right through the heart.
