Stacy is a minor antagonist from the 1986 sport drama Flying, she is Leah's best friend.

She is played by Samantha Logan

Biography[]

Stacy is first seen practicing gymnastic with the teams "The Buffalo Flyers" in their gym, then, bullying Robin, alongside her best friend, Leah Kilbourne because she gave a towel to Mark and smiled at him.

The next day, in the cafeteria, she, Leah and Mark were having fun playing with the jukebox while Robin was sitting alone at lunch and when they saw one of the gymnasts sitting with her, they called her to sit with them, denying Robin to have a friend in the team.

Later that day, in "The Buffalo Flyers"s gym, Stacy is seen with their coach, Jean Stoller, a shirtless Mark fixing some gym equipment. Then she comments on his muscles but the coach scolds her, telling her to go back to practicing, being here for this and not to look at muscles. Then, a gymnast named Carly Simmons suggested to their coach, Jean Stoller, to give a shot to Robin about entering in the team. Mrs. Stoller suggested to Robin to show some bars skills but Robin, nervous, fell from the bars and hurt her knee causing to Leah and Stacy laughing and say "So pathetic!".

The next day, Mrs. Stoller notices Stacy leaving the gym early with all her makeup on. She justifies this by saying that she has a date but the coach says that she has to take training seriously but she arrogantly replies that at least she has a social life. Then, Robin appeared in a gymnastic suit, talking about wanting to repeat the exercise and she showed her potential, amazing everyone, and became part of the team.

The next day, she is seen, sitting next to Leah, Mrs. Stoller telling to all the gymnasts that there will be a competition so they will be studied to clarify who will participate at it. Then, she and Leah both see Robin flirting with Mark and decide to play a revenge prank on her.

They put a fake invitation in her locker making her believe that Mark invited her to a party with the theme, "Funky Night", when in fact it was a fancy dinner at the Sanderson mansion among their wealthy families.

When Robin arrives at the party and finds out the truth, they laugh at her by telling her that she is a crasher and when she runs away in embarrassment, they laugh at her and saying that she is absolutely pathetic.

Then, she is seen at the drive-in, along with Leah, smoking a cigarette and mocking Robin who was trying to get Tommy's attention by saying that she looks as a monkey and asking if she trained with those at the zoo.

When Robin confronts Leah, she replies that she and Stacy are better than her and can even beat her with their eyes closed and that she is just a joke. When Robin replies that she is crazy, the two start a gymnastics-off, while Stacy is watching them smoking, but Robin wins by managing to do a leap that also manages to overtake a parked car, leaving everyone surprised.

But when Mrs. Stoller intervenes, Leah and Stacy lie, saying it was all Robin's idea and threatening her that they'll beat her next time. Afterwards, they puncture the tire of Robin's mop, leaving her stranded and laughing at her out of Mark's car while they return home.

Later, in the cafeteria, Leah and Stacy, in line for lunch behind Robin, try to irritate her by saying that Tommy is really cute today and Stacy sprinkles ketchup on Robin's hand, leaving her laughing. Not realizing that Tommy placed milk cartridges on the chairs where they were about to sit, humiliating them in front of everyone and telling her that he thought pussies liked milk.

Later that day, Mrs. Stoller announces that Leah, pleased with the nomination, Tami, and Robin will be attending Nationals. When Stacy finds out she won't be able to go to Nationals with her best friend. Angry, she asks the coach why she prefers Robin to her. But Mrs. Stoller reminds her that Robin, unlike her, trains even when she doesn't feel like it and threatens her that if she continues like this she will kick her out of the team like she did with Carly for the steroids.

When Robin goes to stay with Tommy after her mother's death, she has a meeting with the coach seeing her give Stacy private lessons and telling her that since Robin is going through a lot in her life, to send Stacy instead of her, having only been a motivation to get Leah to train more. But she doesn't give up, and manages to train even more, eliminating Stacy's only opportunity to go to the competition in her place.

Stacy is seen, along with Mark, watching the competition and cheering on Leah.

During the competition, Rhonda Hamilton loses due to a fall and therefore Robin is second to Leah. Leah teases Robin that the victory is now hers, she replies that it's not the right way to win but she asks her what she knows about winning, laughing off with Stacy.

When it's Robin's turn for the floor routine, Stacy, together with Mark, congratulates Leah by telling her that the victory is now hers. But, thanks to the words of her friends Roy and Fred, Robin manages to make a great impression while also leaving Leah, Stacy and Mark impressed, winning the competition and Leah is devastated about it and Stacy trying to cheer her on.
