Spirass

Spirass (スパイラス Supairasu) is a kaijin (Monster-of-the-week) that appeared in episode 4 of the 1996 Tokusatsu hero series, Shichisei Tōshin Guyferd. Her suit actor is Yuuko Hiwasa.

Presumably a female pro-wrestler turned into a mutant monster. She has a human-like face except with pupil-less yellow eyes along with a spider eyes and fangs-adorned forehead mask.. Her "outfit" resembles a high-leg swimsuit/leotard with spider black-brownish orange pattern in the torso, along with similarly patterned arm sleeves and thigh boots, which predominantly covered in fur to resemble a tarantula spider.

Spirass is first seen hanging in the spider web waiting for a target, which is a school bus filled with school children. After a brief waiting, she jumped down then use her Spiral Net power which teleported the school bus to a secret genetic laboratory owned by Crown.

Later on, after the children managed to escape from their kidnapping, Shion ordered Spirass to "show her pro-wrestling power" to Gou Kazama. At first surprised by a woman Mutian, Gou underestimate Spirass and jokingly taunt her, before got hit by a kick. While Shion escaping the scene, Spirass use her formidable power along with catch wrestling skill (Crusher Hold) to pin Gou down. After he managed to escape the grappling, Gou transformed into Guyferd, which surprised Spirass. After a brief battle, Guyferd landed a kick to her chest, knocking her out. Guyferd then went out to save the children who are held by a group of Fangs foot soldier.

After the children along with Rei and Professor Shiroishi managed to fully escape the laboratory, Shion sics Spirass to kill Guyferd, as his dead body is good enough for experimentation. After jumping to face Guyferd, she use her wrestling power, especially Crusher Hold catch technique to pin him down. After Gou escape her grappling, she use Spiral Net attack which explode on Guyferd but only knock him down. She then continue to attack him with catch technique only for Guyferd to successfully counter her. When Guyferd try to use Kyoukuseiken to finish her, Spirass manage to save herself with Spiral Net attack. Spirass try to attack him again, but Guyferd managed to adapt with her catch technique and managed to deal several direct hit to her body. As Spirass got immobilized by dizziness and pain, Guyferd use his Jiraishin drop-kick finisher technique to her face. Spirass then walking backward while making a pained cry, before she exploded and met her end. After Spirass demise, Shion ordered evacuation of the Genetic Laboratory.
