Sandra Tremayne is the main antagonist of the horror movie Jennifer (1978).
She is played by the late Amy Johnston.
Biography[]
Sandra is a rich girl whose father is an influential US Senator. She has been kicked out of several schools in the past for delinquent behavior. She takes a dislike to Jennifer because of her country background, and torments her whenever she can. When she cheats on a test, she claims Jennifer gave her a cheat sheet, and Jennifer denies this, exposing Sandra as a liar. This leads her to hate Jennifer, and she swears to get her kicked out of school. She starts harassing Jennifer on a regular basis, hoping she will leave. She even tries to drown Jennifer in a pool, only stopping when the other girls come in. She then has her boyfriend, Dayton Powell, take nude photos of Jennifer when she falls off a ladder in the pool room, then posts the photos all over the school. As a result of the bullying, Jennifer starts to manifest psychic powers that allow her to control snakes, though she doesn't want to use it.

Sandra then escalates to much more sociopathic behavior, having her friend Jane raped in an elevator for trying to stand up to her, and killing Jennifer's pet cat and hanging its corpse in her locker. She then spreads a story that the cat belonged to her and that Jennifer was the one who killed it, convincing her friends to help her get even. They kidnap Jennifer from her house and take her to the roof of a car park, where Sandra incites her friends to try to run Jennifer over. Jennifer has had enough and unleashes her powers, conjuring snakes to attack her tormentors. Sandra tries to flee in her car, but a giant snake appears and bites her head off, and she then crashes and is killed in a fiery explosion.
