Princess Salandre is a villainess from the French comic Taar Et Le Sablier D’or. She is the keeper of the golden sand timer, which Taar, the hero, must retrieve to save his lover, Khanala.

Those who seek to take the golden sand timer must face Salandre's enigma challenge, and answer three questions. Only then can they marry Salandre, and take away the precious artefact. Those who fail are immediately executed. Of course, Salandre cheats, since she wouldn't allow anybody to win. But Taar wins and answers correctly. Salandre is furious, and orders her troops to kill him, but when one of the crocodile guards aims at him, he jumps behind Salandre, who is pierced by the spear in his place, while he says to her "farewell,Princess".
