Rosine Dalliford (Georgann Johnson; 1926-2018) is the villainess from "Jonathan," episode 2.10 of Alfred Hitchcock Presents (airdate December 2, 1956). She is the wife of the titular Jonathan Dalliford and the stepmother to his son, Gil (who has an unhealthy fondness for his father). Rosine was Jonathan's secretary before she became his wife, and Gil, who despised Rosine, planned to kill her. She received a bottle of brandy from Gil, who poisoned the brandy as part of his plan.
However, Rosine had an evil plan of her own. She had been plotting to kill Jonathan and inherit his fortune, and her opportunity came after Jonathan had a heart attack, as he was prescribed alcohol. Rosine had also known about Gil's obsession with his father, and figuring that he had poisoned the brandy, the evil Rosine gave the poisoned drink to Jonathan, which killed him. In the final scenes, Rosine told Gil the truth about what happened to Jonathan, as Gil had suspected her in his father's death. She also informed Gil of Jonathan's plans to leave her to spend time with Gil, suggesting Rosine's other motive was to hurt Gil as well. Rosine was arrested for killing Jonathan.
