Ronda Rousey is a former MMA-fighter currently competing as a villainess in WWE.

After a number of cameo WWE appearances (the first one being at WrestleMania 31), Ronda was signed officially by WWE in late 2017 and made her debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble, after Asuka won the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble. Her debut match came at WrestleMania 34, where she and Kurt Angle defeated Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, and it was at Money in the Bank that Ronda received her first opportunity for the Raw Women's Championship against then-champion Nia Jax, only for Alexa Bliss to cash in her MITB case and capture the title. Ronda defeated Bliss at SummerSlam to win the Raw Women's Championship, and went on to defend the title against challengers such as Nikki Bella, Nia Jax, and Sasha Banks, as well as Ruby Riott at the Elimination Chamber event in February 2019.

Ronda was set to defend the title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania, following Becky's victory in the Women's Royal Rumble, only for Becky to be suspended and replaced with the villainous Charlotte Flair. Ronda campaigned for Stephanie to reinstate Becky, putting down her title as a show of symbolism. After Stephanie declared the title vacant and announced that Becky and Charlotte would compete for the title at Fastlane, Ronda returned and reclaimed her title. Ronda turned heel afterwards when she lambasted the fans in attendance, after which she attacked Charlotte and Becky--mainly the latter. At Fastlane, the evil Ronda attacked Becky during her match against Charlotte, giving Becky a DQ win and adding her to the Raw Women's Championship contest at WrestleMania (which was announced as the WM main event). Following Fastlane, Ronda unleashed her villainous persona towards Dana Brooke on back-to-back weeks; attacking Dana on the March 11 edition of Raw, and then defeating her in a title contest a week later, after which she attacked and injured Dana. Ronda also beat down security guards and referees, with her real-life husband, Travis Browne, joining in the attack while sitting in attendance.
