Rita Magovern (Lisa Gaye; 1935-2016) is the main villainess from "The Case of the Traveling Treasure," episode 5.08 of Perry Mason (airdate November 4, 1961).
Rita Magovern is the wife of businessman Karl Magovern, who was part of a theft involving a portion of a half million dollar robbery. Rita discovered that he had $100,000 hidden, as well as her mink coats, and she also learned about his trip to Mexico and figured that Karl would take her along. However, Rita was stunned to learn that Karl wasn't coming back from his trip, and figuring that Karl would divorce her, Rita turned heel and murdered Karl, doing so by poisoning his drink with digitalis.
Scott Cahill ended up accused of the murder, but after being confronted by both Perry Mason and Hamilton Burger, the evil Rita confessed everything, showing anger and bitterness towards her deceased husband. Rita is (assumingly) arrested for her husband's murder.
