Rika Okano (Tomoko Shiota) is a villainess from "The Flower Scent Murder Case", episode 4.08 of Case Closed (airdate February 9, 1998). She was an Avant-garde Ikebana artist who, during the episode, was holding a performance at the Bay Front Hotel. Detective Kogoro Mouri, his daughter Ran, and Conan Edogawa came when Rika's assistant, Midori Ozaki, called them to report a death threat Rika had received.

Rika was quickly shown to be a self-centered and egotistical artist, chastising Midori for calling the police and refusing to allow her funder, Daisuke Shiraki, to cancel the show because of the threat. Rika's backstory also revealed that she had past ties with Midori, as she was a pupil of her older sister, another Ikebana artist who caught her a specialized Ikebana method.

After being taught the technique, the evil Rika conspired with Daisuke to steal Midori's sister's method and destroy her career so she could claim the technique was created by her. Rika's callous actions resulted in Midori's sister falling into a depression and committing suicide, which drove Midori to become Rika's assistant as part of a revenge plot against Rika and Daisuke. After killing Daisuke, Midori set up Rika's flower display to poison her to death during her performance. Conan was able to intervene in time by freezing the flowers with liquid nitrogen, much to Rika's initial outrage.

Conan exposed Midori as Daisuke's killer and Rika's attempted murderer, shocking Rika. Midori boldly confessed to her crimes, while also publicly exposing Rika as a deceitful fraud. Rika was enraged at having her secret outed, and Conan later inferred that Rika's career would be over as a result of her evil deeds.
