Reika Yotsui (Reiko Takahashi) was a villainess from "Wealthy Daughter Murder Case", episodes 2.11 and 2.12 of Case Closed (airdates November 25 and December 2, 1996, manga volumes 9: File 7-10: File 1). She was the daughter of Mr. Yotsui, the chairman of a wealthy enterprise, and invited detective Kogoro Mouri to her birthday party after he helped find her missing dog.

Reika's a beautiful and fragile lady. She's tall with small mouth, big ears, white skin, short hair and really good looking chest. She loves red clothes, she wore a red prom dresses during her party and a simple red shirt and red long skirt afterward.

During the party, Reika was quickly shown to be haughty and spoiled, arrogantly relishing that several of the men at the party (her friends from her former yacht club) were vying to be her husband and thus to be the new head of her father's company. Reika in particular teased Takuya Mifune, the President of an electronics company, by threatening to ensure her father will never worked with him if he left the party.

Later on in the evening, Yuji Nikaido (one of Reika's friends) was found drowned to death in the fountain outside her villa, and Reika (being disappeared earlier) was briefly believed to kill him. But then Reika was found dead herself, drowned in her bathtub. Ultimately, Conan Edogawa discovered that the true culprit was Takashi Ichieda, another friend of hers who had a crush on Yaeko Nanao, a past member of the yacht club who died while trying to save Reika and Yuji when they were caught in the midst of a storm.

After being cornered, Takashi confessed to killing Reika and Yuji and revealed the truth behind Yaeko's death: she had been wearing a life jacket when she went out to save Reika and Yuji, bringing along another for Reika (not knowing Yuji was with her). When she arrived, rather than being grateful for her rescue, the evil Reika and Yuji took Yaeko's life jacket and the one she'd brought for Reika, leaving Yaeko to drown and later claiming they had never reached them. Enraged and vengeful at Reika and Yuji for leaving Yaeko to die, Takashi made a plan for revenging.

First, Takashi rendered Reika unconscious with chloroform after she changed her clothes around 10:00 p.m. He then took her to the bathroom, tied her legs and arms with rope, and gagged her with duct tape to prevent her from struggling or calling for help.

Then, seizing his only opportunity to impose the most brutal sentence for her crime, he quickly secured her to the bottom of the bathtub with a thick pile of duct tape, while he used the shower to silently and slowly fill the tub.

It was estimated that Reika died between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m., and judging by her pained face and open eyes after death, Reika must have woken up, understood the situation, and had a small chance to resist impending death with tremendous fear.

Minutes after the water flooded her nose, she couldn't hold her breath and lost consciousness again in the cold water, in the darkness, gripped by panic, pain, and helplessness, just as Yaeko had suffered two years earlier.

Finally, Reika drowned, and her lifeless body remained there until 7:00 a.m., when Takashi arrived to alter the situation by pulling her body from the bathtub, removing all the ropes and tape (in a matter of minutes!), and then forcibly submerging her head for a fake crime scene.

The beautiful heiress, Reika Yotsui, finally got what she deserved.

The plan may have been perfect until Reika's completely soaked body aroused Conan's suspicions. And soon, a mistake while trying to pull the young woman from the bathtub revealed Takashi's crime.

Trivia

• In the English dub, Reika's name is translated to Reika Gilmore and she is voiced by Jamie Marchi. Her name in Japanese is 四井麗花.
• Jamie Marchi (Reika's English dub actress) also voiced the villainous Businesswoman from Case Closed's first season, as well as Case Closed villainesses Keiko Yabuuchi, Kazumi Tatsumi, Kyoko Saegusa, Akiko Yonehara, and Mizue Ichikawa.
• The scene that shows Reika's head under water is censored by a lot of countries. Scary expression of her corpse sometimes is too hard for some countries's censorship. Her corpse's face scene is limited in some and some even ban these episodes from TV show.
• In manga, Reika told her father the purpose of the party is to choose her deserved groom. These scenes is not important and got removed from anime.

After mocking everyone, she went to change dress. She would never know that's her last smile in the last birthday party.

Around 10:00 p.m., after changing her clothes, Reika was restrained from behind while her killer covered her face with a chloroform-soaked towel. She was unable to resist, quickly fainted, and fell into his arms.

Her killer had no other ideal with Reika's sleeping body in his hands than to consummate his revenge and give her a cruel death: he took her to a dark bathroom, tied her up and gagged her with duct tape deep in the bottom of the tub...

...as the shower slowly filled her and engulfed her in cold water, the tub slowly turning into a "water coffin".

(Reika in bathtub, art of TripleQ) The sleeping effect of the chloroform lasted no more than two hours, so Reika woke up and was quickly terrified to discover the execution method her killer had planned.

(Reika in bathtub, source: Twitter) Fully awake, Reika tries to scream for help and escape, but her attempts are in vain because of the duct tape binding and gagging her. All he could do was prolong her fear, while leaving marks of adhesive tape on her body without realizing it.

As Reika begins to drown in the bathtub, her killer drugged Ran as a "random victim" and attempted to drown her in order to mislead the detectives as to how Reika would die.

Around 5:00 or 6:00 a.m., the killer provides a cover by pretending to be looking for Reika in the bathtub, while he and the others were searching for her after the attack on Ran. For a few moments, he calmly watches as his target finally dies.

Finally, at 7:00 a.m., the killer pretended to go to the bathroom to remove Reika's lifeless body, quickly untied her, and removed all the tape in a matter of minutes...

...before forcing her lifeless body into a pose by putting her head under the water, to fool everyone into believing that she died a quick death like other victims.

Shortly after, Reika's corpse was found by Conan and Kogoro.

..... and flat her on the floor.

Kogoro made first clinical autopsy. He beleived she must have resited strongly to get that wet after being kidnapped and hided somewhere.

There rope mark on her arms and tape mark over her mouth. She couldn't open her mouth that wide in that state, unless the killer had put something in before covering it by tape.

There were both on her legs. Normally there's no point to use both to imprison such a girl.

Then Conan's turn

and he quickly revealed the truth about Reika's death

Sleepy Kogoro artistically walked over the corps and started his famous show as usual.

The circle of hatred, Reika deserved her fate.

Poor Reika horror faces. It was too hard and painful for such a fagile beautiful lady. The killer had his revenge but he made Yaeko's last effort futile.

Although her beloved niece got killed by her young master, the old servant never wants any revenges to anyone. She has worked for Yotsui family for a long time and watched Reika grew up. She gently closed her eyes and taught the killer a lession about the benevolence.

That's the end of the wealthy daughter, when her beauty, her money and her power now no matter. She thought she owned everything and been terrible to people. Her way of death is cruel but iconic.
