Queen Yliana (Laurie Mitchell) is the main villainess in the 1958 sci-fi film "Queen of Outer Space".
Captain Neal Patterson (Eric Fleming) and his astronaut space crew Lt. Mike Cruze (Dave Willock), Lt. Larry Turner (Patrick Waltz), and Professor Konrad (Paul Birch) are taking a rocket to a space station near Earth. Of note, Lt. Turner is the ladies' man of the group, as he is busy kissing his platinum blonde bombshell girlfriend (Joi Lansing). En route, however, the space station is destroyed by an interstellar energy beam which also affects their rocket ship.
The space crew crash lands on Venus and are captured. They learn the planet is under the dictatorship of the cruel Queen Yliana, a silver masked woman who has most men killed, keeping only mathematicians and scientists on a prison colony moon which orbits Venus.
In the palace, the astronauts are aided by a beautiful courtier named Talleah (Zsa Zsa Gabor) and her friends Motiya (Lisa Davis), Kaeel (Barbara Darrow), and Odeena (Marilyn Buferd). The women long for the love of men again and plot to overthrow the evil queen.
Queen Yliana was the evil ruler of Venus, having seized power from the men that once ruled. She had grown tired of the suffering brought about by war with other worlds, and so she usurped the leadership with the help form her posse of men-hating women.
Yliana has many Venusian women under her control, including Lynn Cartwright, Tania Valia, Marya Stevens, Laura Mason, Kathy Marlowe, and Norma Young.
When Patterson has the opprotunity to remove the Queen's mask, he discovers she has been horribly disfigured by radiation burns caused by men and their wars. In a fury, the Queen decides to destroy Earth and its warlike peoples.
When the button to the disintegrating thing does not work, she rushes in. There are sparks that fly, and flames that erupt. Finally, an explosion takes place, and when the smoke clears, all that is left of Yliana is a charred body. The Venusians are free again to enjoy the love of men.
