Queen Akiba (Bella Cotrez) is the main villainess in the 1963 Italian Peplum film Taur the Mighty (the Italian title Taur, il re della forza bruta).
Queen Akiba rules a tribe of slavers who also organise gladiatorial fights. However, Queen Akiba and her followers get more than they bargained for when they capture Taur (Joe Robinson). One of her followers is helping Taur, who pretends to be under the Queen's control.
Taur is made to fight his companion Ubaratutu (Harry Baird), and the two orchestrate the fight so that Taur wins. Next Taur is tied to two chariots driven in opposite directions, yet he is too strong for the horses.
Impressed, the queen takes him to her boudoir, where she tries to seduce him. However, Taur’s companion is hiding under the bed. He emerges and the Queen is alarmed. She sounds her gong and her warriors move in to assist her, but they are all knocked down by the two men. Akiba is captured and locked in a big chest.
Humiliated, the Queen is incensed. Taur is eventually recaptured and she has him tied and placed in a grinding contraption. In the meantime, the queen enjoys the show of women fighting each other to death. But Taur frees himself and instigates a rebellion. As soon as she sees that the rebels are taking the upper hand, the Queen tries to escape. Akiba is however followed by one of her slaves, Ilia (Thea Fleming), who catches and stabs her in the stomach, killing her.
