Portia (Rashida Jones) is the villainess of "Changing of the Guardian", episode 24.11 of The Simpsons (airdate January 27, 2013). She was an environmental lawyer and the wife of surfer Mav, with the couple encountering the Simpsons after a near-death experience during a tornado inspired Homer and Marge to seek out godparents for their children.
Bart and Lisa met Mav and Portia at the beach, with Lisa immediately taking a liking to Portia for her career. Homer and Marge was similarly charmed by the seemingly perfect couple, and ultimately decide to have them become their children's godparents. After signing the documents, Portia asked Homer and Marge to let the kids stay at their ski house for the weekend.
But as revealed later on, Mav and Portia's acceptance of being the Simpson children's godparents was really a ruse for their true intentions: kidnapping the children and raising them as their own. Marge and Homer realized Portia and Mav's true intentions when they walked by a photography shop and saw a photograph the two had taken with the kids, with the frame inscription making it seem they were their own children. Homer and Marge immediately rushed to the ski house to retrieve their kids, realizing along the way that Portia's suggestion that the kids spend time at their ski lodge was a ploy to abduct them.
Upon reaching the ski house, Homer and Marge confronted Mav and Portia about trying to take their kids, with the villainous couple openly admitting to their intentions. Portia revealed that she shared Mav's fondness for the children, while also revealing that they had been attending several of the children's extracurricular activities. When asked by Marge if they expected to get away with taking the kids, the evil Portia boasted that she and Mav's professions made them an "unstoppable" duo and that what they were doing actually happened often. But at that, Bart and Lisa revealed that they didn't want to stay with Mav and Portia, with Lisa telling the latter that while she saw her as a role model, she still wanted to be raised by her actual mother. Defeated, Portia and Mav left for another trip to Bali, with Portia claiming that the children would be leaving a hole in their lives.
