Persephone Trinh (Jeananne Goossen) is the hidden villainess from season 4 of Slasher, titled Slasher: Flesh & Blood.

Background[]

Trinh was an end-of-life specialist (a doctor who facilitates assisted suicides), who was secretly a sadistic serial killer who found the idea of taking lives to be sexually exciting. She reportedly killed a number of patients in medical malpractice cases, during which they suffered extreme pain. Rumors began to spread around her, leading her to catch the attention of shipping tycoon Spencer Galloway, who was dying of cancer.

Slasher: Flesh & Blood[]

Spencer Galloway hires (and blackmails) her to cover his end-of-life care, not wanting to die a painful death like his first wife, Annette, who also died of cancer. Spencer was a very hateful and elitist man, who hated his family for "being disappointments." As a result, he tells Trinh to kill the members of his family who prove themselves to be weak, to ensure only one "strong" heir remains. To ensure she can handle this job, he sends her to murder one of his son-in-laws, an artist named Reycraft. The villainess is more than happy to prove herself, and ends up smashing Reycraft's head in an industrial crusher, becoming sexually aroused and moaning as she touches his exposed brains. After proving herself, Trinh begins disguising herself as a plague doctor-like ghost called "the Gentleman," during her murders to hide her identity.

On the day of the Galloways' test, Trinh double-crosses Spencer; instead of euthanizing him peacefully, she injects acid into his heart, which painfully kills him. Trinh oversees the games of wit and strength that Spencer left in his will to determine which family member gets his fortune, with a disguised Trinh brutally murdering the losers, and people who don't participate, including the island's staff. One of the Galloways, Florence, has a violent outburst when Trinh insults her and chases the villainess into a wood chipper before turning it on. Trinh fakes her death by putting the corpse of a previous victim through the wood chipper and pretending to get mutilated. With the Galloways believing Trinh to be deceased, she continues killing the "weak" Galloways until only Vincent, Theo, and Liv remain. They manage to corner her and knock her unconscious before unmasking her and tying her to a chair where they interrogate her. The unrepentant villainess gleefully explains how much she enjoyed torturing and murdering her victims, saying she complied with the rules of Spencer's game, not because of the blackmail or money, but because it felt "amazing." She further explains that she killed the non-participators because she simply couldn't pass up such "juicy" opportunities. She attempts to blackmail the survivors into letting her go, explaining that she's made arrangements so that should she disappear, unsavory information about them, including evidence of past crimes will be sent to the police and news outlets. Unfortunately for her, before she can finish her threat, Vincent, in a blind rage, angrily stabs her to death and slits her throat with her own knife.
