Paula Byrne (Abbie Cobb) is a villainess from "The Blood from the Stones," episode 8.20 of Bones (airdate March 25, 2013). She is a cybercriminology student and an ATM robber.
Paula committed the ATM robberies with her partner, fellow student Marcos Herrera, with the duo later meeting a fence--later revealed as undercover cop Reuben Martin. A gun battle ensued, with Marcos firing back at Reuben, who later shot at Paula and blew off her left foot. All the while, both robbers were completely unaware that Reuben was a cop.
Reuben's murder and investigation into the act led Seeley Booth and Dr. Temperance Brennan to Paula, after the latter found Paula's severed foot. The duo went to the house and found Paula bleeding badly and with her leg gangrened due to a badly done tourniquet, but still alive. EMT were called to take Paula to the hospital, but Booth stopped the process and demanded answers from the villainess. All Paula could state was that the Marcos shot back at the fence after he started the shooting, and she would later pass out due to blood loss. The further investigation revealed that Reuben's killer was his wife, Lauren, but while Paula was inevitably hospitalized (off-screen), her fate beyond that wasn't revealed.
