Nora Hill (Louise Lombard) is the main villainess from "His Thoughts Were Red Thoughts," episode 4.16 of The Mentalist (airdate February 23, 2012). She is the dean of Clearview, a college run by a cult known as Visualize, which was led by Bret Stiles.
As revealed later on, Nora had been working as a source for Gabe Meadows, a former Visualize member turned anti-cult activist who was looking for evidence that Stiles murdered a man named Farragut, the cult's original leader until Stiles took over in 1976. After leaking various amounts of information, Nora began to worry when Gabe kept pushing for more info on Farragut than she could provide. Sensing his desperation, and possibly out of fear that her secret could be leaked, the evil Nora killed Gabe, bashing him with a hammer before stealing his laptop.
Stiles ended up accused and charged with the murder, and in the episode's climax, members of Stiles' inner circle were voting on a replacement for Stiles. Nora was the lone member who did not vote for Jason Cooper to replace Stiles, showing her loyalty, but that was exactly what Jane needed to reveal Nora as Gabe's killer. After Nora was arrested, she confessed everything to Cho, and stated that she felt no remorse for killing Gabe.
