Nora Delano (Mary-Pat Green) was the secondary villainess of "The Dark Side of the Door," episode 12.15 of Murder, She Wrote (airdate February 1, 1996). She was a coffee shop waitress who kidnapped 12-year-old Erin Garman 11 years before the episode's events. On the day in question, Nora took Erin from a playground and held her hostage in an abandoned West Village studio apartment. There, the greedy criminal served Erin healthy food, doing so for four days until a $3 million ransom was paid by her maternal grandfather.

Years later, the villainess was interviewed by novelist Dirk Matheson, who was looking to create an account of the kidnapping, with their interviews being recorded on audio cassettes. After doing said interviews, Nora encountered the mastermind behind Erin's kidnapping and demanded money in exchange for not telling Erin about the fact that they were her kidnappers. When she didn't get the payment she was looking for, the evil conspirator met with Matheson (shown at the beginning of the episode) and demanded $250,000 from him, with the threat of going to the tabloids if he didn't comply. After Matheson appeared to acquiesce, Nora was murdered when she was shot twice by the aforementioned mastermind.
