Nicole Morris (Heather McComb) is the main villainess from "Castle, P.I.," episode 7.11 of Castle (airdate January 12, 2015).
History[]
Nicole Morris is a lawyer at the Harrison/Reid law firm, and a friend of Shana Baker, who was in charge of admissions at a private preschool. At some point, Shana had confided in Nicole that she was investigating the murder of her boyfriend, which occurred 15 years prior to the events of the episode, and it was in the episode's opening that Shana returned home and was shocked by a mysterious figure walking past her, after which she noticed that her window was broken.

Shana later expressed surprise when she saw Nicole standing in front of her and holding her at gunpoint, and at that moment, Nicole turned heel by shooting Shana to death; a single gunshot to the chest. As it turned out, Nicole was a hired hitwoman enlisted to kill Shana due to her investigation, and her friendship was part of her role as a villainous conspirator. Her plan included following budding politician Spaulding Elliott to a barbecue rib joint and took possession of his discarded cigarette, doing so before breaking into Shana's apartment to wait in ambush. After killing Shana, the evil Nicole planted the cigarette at the scene, planning to frame Elliott for Shana's murder.
Nicole was interviewed by Richard Castle (who was working as a private investigator) when Kate Beckett arrived and was looking to do the same. Nicole masked her heel persona and acted like a concerned friend while discussing Shana, as she brought up that Shana was asking her about murder cases. She directed the pair to Elliott, and her plan nearly worked, as Elliott was accused of both murders. However, after Elliott's dog allergies cleared him, Nicole ended up revealed as a villainess when Beckett showed Castle an incriminating photo that featured Nicole picking up Elliott's cigarette. After Beckett let Nicole into Castle's office, Nicole was grilled about killing Shana, which the villainess denied until Castle showed her the photo. Beckett handcuffed and arrested Nicole for Shana's murder, though the lead conspirator who sent Nicole was never revealed.
