Nancy Hayes is a character from the 2004 film The Big Bounce, based on Elmore Leonard's crime novel of the same name. Nancy is a con artist who teams up with fellow thief Jack Ryan for a heist of billionaire Ray Ritchie.
She is portrayed by Sara Foster.
Nancy is seen as the mistress of Ritchie, though she eventually seduces, and later falls for, Jack and the two began a crime spree of breaking and entering for fun and profit.
Nancy then suggests to rob Ritchie of $200, 000 from his safe at his house. However as Jack enters, Nancy then has the millionaire poisoned and sets Jack up to take the blame as part of a conspiracy with Ritchie's own wife and Judge Walter Crewes (he had earlier had hired Jack as a handyman) to get their hands on Ritchie's substantial property that was in his wife's name. Nancy had been promised of $200, 000 for her involvement.
However Jack escapes with the money and Nancy is set up by the Judge and Alison as Ritchie's murderer. She is last seen in disguise trying to escape before she is arrested for Ritchie's murder and hitchhiking to passers by. Jack passes her in a limosine, he refuses to help her, but gives her a peck on the cheek for good luck and leaves her by the side of the road.
