Nais (Rosalba Neri) is a minor villainess in the 1964 Peplum sword and sandal film, "The Lion of Thebes", which was originally entitled, "Leone di Tebe".
In the film, Menelao (Alberto Lupo) and Helen of Troy (Yvonne Furneaux) are on their way to Greece, when they are shipwrecked on the shores of Egypt. Menelao disappears and Helen stays under the protection of Arian (Mark Forest). They are taken under the hospitality of the Pharaoh Ramses (Pierre Cressoy).
Ramses falls in love with Helen, eventhough she does not share the same desires. This attraction by Ramses enrages Nais, who is Ramses betrothed fiance. Nais wants nothing but to get rid of Helen, so that she can go back to becoming the new Queen of Egypt.
There is a struggle going on between Ramses and his evil counselor Tutmes (Massimo Serato). This erupts into a war between rulers of High Egypt (Thebes) and Under Egypt (Sais).
A jealous Nais wants nothing more than to eliminate Helen. She confronts Helen, who tells her that she doesn't want Ramses, and in fact is in love with Arian. Nais organizes an escape from Egypt for Helen and Arian. However, Ramses is assassinated by Tutmes. Nais and Helen are arrested under a false suspicion of the murder.
Nais is the shot in the back with an arrow by one of Tutmes' soldiers to keep her quiet.
