Mrs. Ormstead (Kate Edwards) was a villainess from Howling IV: The Original Nightmare. She ran a local store with her husband in the small town of Drago, and throughout the film, she befriended main protagonist Marie Adams, who had come to Drago to recuperate from a near nervous breakdown. Mrs. Ormstead was aware of the true sinister history of the community in that it was secretly a haven for a Satanic cult of werewolves. When Marie began asking too many questions about the local lore, Mrs. Ormstead tried to turn her away from her inquiries.
Mrs. Ormstead is revealed as one of the Satanic werewolves later in the film, as she is shown witnessing the transformation of Richard Adams (Marie's husband). With the full moon in the sky, the evil Mrs. Ormstead appeared in her werewolf form, snarling evilly while watching Richard undergo his transformation. Mrs. Ormstead, along with the other werewolves, perished in the church fire in the film's end.
