Morgan le Fay (Joanna Lumley) is the villainess in the 1997 fantasy film Prince Valiant. Morgan is the evil sorceress who needs the magic sword Excalibur in order to gain power, only to perish by her own sorcery.
Story[]
Morgan recovers Merlin's spellbook from his tomb and aligns herself with Sligon the Usurper (Udo Kier) who obtains the sword through some dealings with Thagnar (Thomas Kretschmann). When Thagnar ends up killing Sligon, she aligns herself with him. They use their henchwoman Flame (Kirsten Hartwig) to kidnap Princess Ilene (Katherine Heigl).
WeDemise[]
After trying to seduce the hero Prince Valiant (Stephen Moyer), Morgan attempts to put Ilene under her power by blowing magical powder into her face. However, Ilene ends up sneezing and the magical powder backfires and goes into Morgan's face instead. Morgan looses her balance and falls over the edge into a funnel before Ilene can grab her. The funnel drops her into her own magic cauldron. Trapped in the boiling cauldron, Morgan thrashes around while shrieking in pain. She then magically explodes, her clean skull and headdress flying out and into a stake.
